| 1.
Can "The Buck Stops in the Boardroom"
("BSB Program") be tailored for
the particular needs of a company?
Yes, although most of the BSB Program topics
must be included, there is some flexibility
to tailor the program for an individual
company.
2. Even though the BSB Program
is only 4 hours, will a company receive
the same CGQ credit that it would receive
for an 8 hour or longer program?
Yes, any ISS accredited boardroom education
program provides the same CGQ credit, regardless
of the length of the program.
3. What's the difference between
the BSB Program and other ISS accredited
programs?
First, unlike many of the ISS programs
that are presented on a date and at a location
of the program's convenience, the BSB Program
is presented totally at the company's convenience.
The company designates the date, time and
place. Before, during or after a scheduled
board meeting is typical.
Second, unlike some of the ISS programs
whose presenters may change each time the
program is given, the company will know
exactly who will present the BSB Program.
Mr. Gordon is the sole presenter for every
BSB Program.
Third, although it's difficult for us to
know exactly what other programs present
without attending each one, Mr. Gordon may
advocate a stronger board than other programs
advocate. His passion in life is to make
sure boards know how powerful they are so
they can make an informed decision how and
when to best use their power. There's nothing
wrong with a board electing not to exercise
its power, so long as it's an informed decision.
4. How does a company get CGQ credit
for attending the BSB Program?
After the BSB Program, we will e-mail ISS
a list of each director who attended the
program and the names of each public company
on whose board the directors serve. Each
company (not just the company hosting the
program) will receive a higher CGQ for each
of their directors who attend the program.
5. Will each director receive a
certificate for attending the BSB Program?
Yes, and the certificate is suitable for
framing.
